When you walk in to AfFORDable Pet Center you may be greeted by Mary Ellen or Bill Ford, one of their 4 children , their granddaughter, or one of our friendly staff members all ready to help you fulfill your pet’s needs.

Mary Ellen is the mother of four grown children who help in the store on special events. One of her three sons, Michael, works with her full-time & her daughter Heather works part-time. She also has five wonderful grandchildren of which her oldest, Danielle works for her part-time. The others can often be found in the store as she watches them often. Mary worked as a vet tech for about ten years. Before that, she worked on a dairy farm taking care of animals. She has always loved animals, so it was a natural step for her and her husband Bill to open AfFORDable Pet Center.

At AfFORDable Pet Center we specialize in offering help for all your pet needs. Proper feeding and care of your pet are very important to us. A member of the Ford family or one of our associates will work with you to give you advice on your pet's needs. At AfFORDable Pet Center, you will find a full selection of supplies for your dogs, cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, freshwater fish, wild birds, ponds & some saltwater supplies. AfFORDable Pet Center in cooperation with Affordable Pet Vaccines Inc. offers monthly vaccine clinics. Call for times and dates. Also offered at AfFORDable Pet Center are dog training classes by Passion for Paws.

AfFORDable Pet Center was started by Mary Ellen & Bill Ford to provide a local pet store for the Borough of Northampton and the surrounding area. We are truly a family owned and operated pet store. AfFORDable Pet Center has won The Morning Call's Reader Choice award for the best local pet store five times. In 2012 Northampton County 4-H presented us with a Friend of 4H Award. AfFORDable Pet Center was awarded the 2014 Business of the Year award from the Northampton Area Chamber of Commerce.
